Terms of Service

1. The Service

Thooon is a browser-based game featuring creatures, battles, expeditions, crafting and seasonal events. The game is free to play. An account (email or Google sign-in) is required to save progress.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country, if higher) to use Thooon. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

3. In-game points and items have no monetary value

Thoon Points, gold, items, cosmetics, streaks and any other in-game balances are virtual gameplay elements only. They are not money, deposits, securities or crypto-assets; they cannot be redeemed for cash, are not transferable outside the game, and may be rebalanced, reset or discontinued at any time for game-economy reasons.

4. Optional wallet linking and on-chain interactions

You may optionally link a blockchain wallet to your account, either by signing a verification message or by submitting an on-chain check-in transaction on the Celo network. Wallet linking is never required to play.

On-chain transactions (such as the daily check-in) are executed by you, from your own wallet, on a public blockchain. We never have custody of your funds or keys. Network fees for such transactions are paid by you and are not refundable by us. Records on public blockchains are permanent and outside our control.

Holding a Thooon NFT may unlock cosmetic content (skins). NFTs are not sold by the game and are not required to play.

5. Fair play

You agree not to: use bots, scripts or automation; exploit bugs or the game economy; operate multiple accounts to farm rewards; attack, probe or overload our infrastructure; or harass other players. We may suspend or terminate accounts involved in such conduct and remove improperly obtained balances.

6. Your content and our IP

Usernames and other content you submit must not be unlawful, offensive or infringing. All game assets, code, art and trademarks remain our property or that of our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the game for personal entertainment.

7. Availability and changes

The game is provided "as is" and "as available". We may modify, suspend or discontinue any feature — including rewards, events and the on-chain check-in — at any time. We do our best to preserve progress but do not guarantee uninterrupted service or data retention.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, loss of virtual items or balances, blockchain network failures, or losses arising from your own wallet or key management. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

9. Termination

You may stop using Thooon at any time and may request account deletion (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-game or on our channels. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
